how to use the Netlog Music Tool

Netlog Music Tool is a very handy application that helps our users in publishing their playlists on their Netlog profiles and meet other people that share the same music interests. It is important to understand that our Music Tool is not a music player. It only tracks the songs you listened to on WinAMP, WMP and iTunes and displays them in the 'Music' section of your Netlog profile. Netlog Music Tool does not enable you to listen to music.

You can get your own and free copy of Netlog Music Tool on our download pages.

After downloading and installing Netlog Music Tool on your computer, the application can track the music you listen to. To start tracking your music, you simply have to log in to the application by using your Netlog nickname and password. In the preferences you can also choose to save the nickname and password and launch Netlog Music Tool upon starting your computer so that tracking is always automatic. If tracking would not start automatically, please go to Preferences in the Music Tool menu and check your login data. If they are OK, please hit the ‘Start tracking’ button.

The Music Tool uses the ID3 tags of the music files you are listening to - the information like artist, title, album that you have added or that was added automatically when you imported/bought the music - so make sure they are correct.
If you want to know more about the ID3 tags, check this page.
